Hope

“Beloved now we are the sons of God it does not yet appear what we shall be but we know that when Jesus shall appear we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is and every man that has this hope in him purify himself even as he is pure.”

To trust in, wait for, look for, or desire something or someone; or to expect something beneficial in the future. Hope is an essential and fundamental element of the Christian life, so essential indeed, that, like faith and love, it can itself designate the essence of Christianity.

Christ is the actual object of the believer’s hope; because it is in his second coming that the hope of glory will be fulfilled

Sometimes expressions of hope are accompanied by the prayer that the supplicant will not be ashamed, that is, disappointed.

Continue your work of faith and labor of love and patience in our Lord Jesus Christ, in the sight of God and our Father.
