Man’s Original Purpose

That is where we find our original purpose as men, back in the mind of the Creator. We often say that the family is the foundation of society. It is very accurate that the family is the adhesive that holds it together. Yet, God did not start building earthly society with a family. He began it with the male-man. Any contractor knows that you do not start a building with the roof or the windows, and God is our model for all our creativity. The priority in building is always what you do first. You start with the foundation. The foundation must be the first priority because everything else will be built upon it.

However, the foundation is not more important than the other parts of the building and cannot perform all the functions itself. As a matter of fact, it is often hidden, but you know it is there, holding up the building. So it is with the man in society. The foundation is meant to be solid, dependable, yet not necessarily seen. But when men (the foundation) have cracks in the substructure of their lives, the whole building of humanity is on shaky ground.

As a man of God, are you determined in your heart to ensure that the foundation built by God remains intact and sure? Or are you allowing the new ideas of society to erode the premises established by God. You will be answerable to God. Remember that even though Eve was the first to eat the fruit and sin, when God came into the Garden, he asked for Adam, since Adam was the one with accountability – the one whom God himself had given instructions.
