Unforgiveness Closing a Relationship

Marriage is an excellent example of unforgiveness in closing a relationship. When a person enters marriage, he or she must leave single life and family. If a man takes his single ways into marriage, he will ruin the marriage. When two people marry, they go their parents and cleave to one another. By taking their parents into a relationship that primarily is for two, and they will end up with their parents and her parents, and try to make a marriage with four people too many.

Spouses who do not forgive their parents eventually find their unforgiveness spoiling their new union. And those whose in-laws are unforgiving will find hardship in relation to their new spouse.

The spirit of unforgiveness is communicated from one person’s spirit to others and closes them off. Holding grudges and letting prejudices spoil intimacy is no way to live. It doesn’t matter whether it’s a wife, husband, child, in-law, friend, neighbor, boss, employee, colleague, father, mother, doctor, or pastor, an unforgiving spirit will close others off and, by doing so, close off part of a person’s life

Mother’s Day 2025

On this Mother’s Day, we take a moment to honor and celebrate the incredible women in our lives who embody the love and grace of God. Mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures, your nurturing spirit reflects the heart of our Heavenly Father.

As Proverbs 31:25 reminds us, ‘She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. Your strength in faith and courage in the face of challenges inspires us all. Today, we recognize the countless sacrifices you’ve made and the unconditional love you’ve given.

Let us also remember those who may find today difficult, those who have lost their mothers, those longing to become mothers, and those facing life’s challenges without their mom’s support. May God’s comfort and peace surround you.

To every mother in our congregation, thank you for your devotion and for being a shining light in our community. We pray that today you feel celebrated, cherished, and loved.

Happy Mother’s Day! May God bless you abundantly.

Jesus Never said, “If you experience Me….”

Experiencing a victory during a crisis is great, but abiding in Christ continually is greater. Unfortunately, many people cannot accept this and remain as spiritual “babes,” needing the “milk” of the Word but not taking the “meat.” They may continually sin, run to the church altar to pray and repent, and then go out to sin again. Far better to learn how to abide in Christ, letting the Spirit of God lead us through each day, away from evil, and into His perfect will for our lives, our “Promised Land” of Abundant Life.
