Statement of Faith
WE BELIEVE: The Bible, containing the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired and infallible Word of God Luke 21:33; Luke 24:44. The necessary and complete revelation of His will for the salvation of men (John 5:47; 1 Thessalonians 5:9) is the ultimate authority for Christian faith and life.
WE BELIEVE: in the one true and living God, eternally existing in three distinct persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (John 14:10).
WE BELIEVE: that the first man, Adam, was created by God in His image (Genesis 1:27) but fell from his original state by sinning against God, and hence incurred upon himself and all his posterity the guilt of sin, condemnation, and death; therefore, all humankind requires salvation, but are incapable of saving themselves.
WE BELIEVE: that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, sent by the Father, begotten by the Holy Spirit (John 3:16), and born of the Virgin Mary (Matthew 1:23); that He lived a sinless and obedient life, suffered and died on the cross vicariously for the sins of His people who believe in Him (Revelation 1:5); that God raised Him from the dead, exalted Him both as Lord and Christ (1 Peter 1:3) and gave Him the promise of the Holy Spirit for His Church.
WE BELIEVE: that men are saved by grace through faith in Christ in response to the Gospel preached, or otherwise presented, in the power of the Holy Spirit, through who ransomed sinners became the sons of God and heirs of eternal life; that Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and men; through Him and only through Him the believer has access to the Father. (Mark 16:16)
WE BELIEVE: in the operation of the Gifts of the Spirit as enumerated in (1 Corinthians 12:14), as manifested in the early church. We believe in a Spirit-filled life, a life of separation from the world and perfecting holiness in God’s fear as expressing the true Christian faith. (Ephesians 5:18;2 Corinthians 6: 14; 2 Corinthians 7: 1).
WE BELIEVE: in the body’s healing by Divine Power, or Divine healing in its varied aspects as practiced in the early church. (Acts 4:30; Romans. 8:11).
WE BELIEVE: that Government is ordained of God, and His power is ordained to ministers who are called of God to us for good (Isaiah 58:2; 1 Peter 4:11). To resist the forces and ordinances is to resist the ordinance of God (Isaiah 24:5). We are subject not only for wrath’s sake but for conscience’s sake, rendering to all their dues, custom to whom custom, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor (Job 34:11; Romans 13:7; 1 Thessalonians 5: 15).
