Frequent Asked Questions

“But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear:”
1 Peter 3:15

Question: “I was reading Genesis 17:10-14, and I was just wondering if you could explain it to me. Because my son is not circumcised, should I go and get him circumcised?”

Answer: Genesis 17:10 –14 “This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between you and me and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. 11 And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin, and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you. 12 And he that is eight days old shall be circumcised among you, every man child in your generations, he that is born in the house, or bought with money of any stranger, which is not of thy seed. 13 He that is born in thy house, and he that is bought with thy money, must needs be circumcised: and my covenant shall be in your flesh for an everlasting covenant. 14 And the uncircumcised man child whose flesh of his foreskin is not circumcised, that soul shall be cut off from his people; he hath broken my covenant.”

A covenant is a promising agreement between a person and God.

This covenant that God made with Abraham was a promised agreement, which is:

  1. Established and fixed.
  2. Promise not only to Abraham but also to His children or seed in the natural and his spiritual source.
  3. Everlasting

All this came under the covenant of circumcision in this case, particularly of the males.

This ordinance was to be administered to children (boys). When they were eight days old, and or not sooner, they may gather strength to undergo the pain.

If you didn’t undergo this religious observance when your children grew up, they would not come under the divine ordinance God made with Abraham. God would then cut them off from those who obeyed.

God required circumcision as a sign of obedience to Him, belonging to His covenant people, and symbolic of cutting off the old life of sin, purifying one’s heart, and dedicating yourself to God. Circumcision superseded the Jewish people from people who didn’t worship God.

Today in Christ Jesus, neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

We are saved by faith, not by deeds; love for others and God is the response of those who God has forgiven.

Jesus said those who are forgiven much (has many things of sins to be forgiven of) love much.

The entire law is summed up in a single command. First, love others as you would love yourself, for it by grace you have been saved, through faith, not from yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by work so that no one can boast.

Remember that we once were separated from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel, and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and God in the world.

Now in Christ Jesus, we who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ. Should we circumcise our son? Really it is a personal preference whether you want to circumcise or not. Medically speaking, doctors say it stays cleaner around the area of the male.

Whether you circumcise or not, once your child gives His life to Jesus, He is under the covenant of Abraham. That means all of the promises God made with Abraham are your sons.

Question: “I am a born-again Christian, but backslid because of unforgiveness with a church member. I not only went back to my old ways before I became a Christian but also became worst. All this happened in a month. So much worst, what do I do?”

Answer: First, you must ask God to forgive you of your sins and turn toward Him with your whole heart, mind, and strength. Because God is unwilling that anyone stay lost, He will leave those just persons and look for someone like yourself. His love for you is greater than a mother and child. He is married to the backslider.

Once I was a backslider, I did worse things than before I was saved. I know there is nothing too hard for God. Your focus must be on our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, not the Pastor, brother, and sisters, but on Him who died for your sins.

Get cleansed in the Blood of Jesus. Renew your commitment to our Lord. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who paid the price of his body nailed to the cross, having each of our sins upon Him. Many people who sit in the pews or sit in churches don’t live right. Yet many are used by the devil. The Bible clearly states that sinners will not stand in the righteous congregation. God said let them be in the same place, and he’ll separate them in the end.

Just say yes to God, and He’s faithful, and forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. That’s His unconditional love for you.

Pray this prayer: Father, I’m a sinner; forgive me of all my sins. I’m tired of the life I’m living. I come home to You, the one who really cares for me. Wash me in Your blood and help me to be obedient to Your word, which says to love your enemies and do good to them that mistreat you. Please allow me to ask the person I’ve had trouble with to forgive me. Whether I’m guilty in their eyesight or not yet, You know both of us. Heavenly Father, create within me a clean heart and a right spirit. Help those I’ve hurt and bless those who have hurt me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Question: “Should a Christian cremate their body? Is it alright for a Christian to cremate their body?”

Answer: First, in (Romans 12:1) the passage of scripture reads, “We should present our body as a living sacrifice, holy acceptable unto God, which is our reasonable service.” The body is the dwelling place of the spirit of God (Holy Spirit). In the glorified state, it will house the Soul and Spirit forever.

Our prime example of scripture in burial is our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

The Bible doesn’t say in scripture or spell out not to cremate their body. Yet there are excellent examples of those in the Old Testament and New Testament who were God’s believers.

In Genesis 49:29-32, when Jacob was breathing his last breath, he charged his sons, saying to them, “I am about to be gathered to my people; bury me with my fathers in the cave that is in the field of Ephron the Hittite, In the cave that is in the field of Machpelah, which is before Mamre, in the land of Canaan, which Abraham bought with the field of Ephron the Hittite for a burial site. There they buried Abraham and his wife Sarah, where they buried Isaac and his wife Rebekah, and there I buried Leah; the purchase of the field and of the cave that is therein was from the children of Heth.”

After Jesus died on the Cross in John 19:38, “And after this Joseph of Arimathea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, be sought Pilate that he might take away the body of Jesus; and Pilate gave him leave. He came, therefore, and took the body of Jesus.”

And Nicodemus also came, who had first come to Him by night, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred pounds weight. And they took the body of Jesus and bound it in linen wrappings with spices, as is the burial custom of the Jews. Now in the place where he was crucified, there was a garden, and in the garden, a new tomb, in which no one had yet been laid. Therefore, because of the Jewish day of preparation, because the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.

Following the Bible’s witness would be an example of prime importance.

Mostly, these people who desire to have their bodies cremated are unsaved people who do not look for the resurrection. There is life after death, whether we live for heaven or on a path to eternal destruction.

All through life, we should treat our bodies with respect. Christian burial is a ceremony of affection and happiness because we know what we see through the eyes of faith that our Lord will raise us, as He was raised one day.

This life does not end everything; it’s only a beginning. One day to the Lord is a thousand years, and a thousand years is as a day. So there is another day coming.

Question: “Am I living according to scripture?”

Answer: It’s not enough for you to read the scripture. The word of God must live your life and not by your head.

With your heart, you say I love you, yet with the same heart, you say I don’t love you anymore.

Paul said in Philippians 1:20-21, “According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life or death. To me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.”

He’s saying I bury my ways to live Christ’s way so I may live like Christ Jesus.

In Galatians 5:22 –23, there is a particular attribute for the life of a believer in Christ as the fruit of the Spirit of God, which is demonstrated as love, joy, peace, patience, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; and no law or anyone can bring a charge against you.

All true Christians in Christ cannot let the lusts and affections of the body control their lives.

Knowledge is power; you can only operate with the power of the Spirit of God when knowledge of the word or scripture is applied daily.

People, our families, and children must see spiritual maturity throughout the body of believers who call themselves Christians.

Some Hindrances to our Walk can be

  1. Traditional
  2. Our actions personally
  3. The function is what you think versus what scripture speaks
  4. Prayerlessness
  5. Unbelief

These are just a few of many things in our lives that need adjustments.

What we focus on, we’ll make room for

Isaiah 43:7 “Even everyone called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.”

Isaiah the Prophet is saying of God that everyone who bears my name (Christians, Catholics, all that calls unto Jesus) God has created for his glory, those God formed and those he made.

If you are reading this: stop for a moment and give God the glory, worship Him, thank Him, and praise Him.

Question: “I’ve been disappointed in the church’s governing body, on same-sex marriage, concerning God’s Word. I wonder where your church stands regarding this issue and other pertinent issues of liberal affairs?”

Answer: Actually, in the Word of God, which is our only stand, we agree with the scriptures stated in the Holy Bible. We used the King James Version to base our thoughts and decisions. Leviticus 18:22 states do not lie with a male as one lies with a woman; it is hate. Clearly, this scripture means you will not have intercourse with a man as you would with a woman. This is a hateful act. This comes from the Old Testament.

Yet in the New Testament, the Apostle Paul addressed it this way and likewise, men, leaving the natural use of a woman, would be burned in their lust one toward another, men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense (return for something done) of their error. In this case, you will receive from our Lord God the required payment for involving oneself in an unnatural affection lifestyle.

One great thing about God is that he hates SIN. The Holy Bible clearly states that wages or payment for sin is death. This death means first spiritually, which is how you communicate with God; second, how you as an individual relate or have affection toward our Saviour; and thirdly, sinful acts of disobedience to God’s word, which is written in His Holy manual (The Holy Bible) of what he has already said and is still speaking today. God’s Holy Word never changes because Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

When a person has a problem with unnatural affection, we love the person as Jesus loves him or her. We dislike their sinful lifestyle as Jesus dislikes it. Strange taste happens when the spirit of peculiar affection comes upon a man, woman, or child. In our society, they are deemed to name it homosexuality, yet they are labeled as homosexuals or gays. It’s really nothing fun or happy about living that way because nothing is fun that displeases our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, who died upon the cross for the sins of many (all who would want to be free from anything that they are doing that Jesus Christ dislikes) but paid the price for with His life on a painful cross. His Holy Blood flowed from the wounds of His body for our transgression (what we willfully do wrong).

A person can be free from this type of lifestyle if in their heart they desire it. The Bible states that God will give you the desires of your heart. We know all good things come from above. That is heaven. Jesus will not withhold anything good from you. So many people don’t like living a lifestyle they know Jesus dislikes, but somehow, they feel trapped, fearful, unloved, and hurt. The Truth is feeling this way makes you sad. In your thoughts, it’s like no one loves me, thoughts of suicide, and thoughts of running away from people. Yet I can tell you as I’m writing this, Jesus loves you always. Jesus said I came that you may have life and have it more and more. If a person is caught in this type of situation, all they have to do is ask Jesus Christ for help. He’s the only one that can set them free.

God is only liberal in giving good things, not in any fashion unholy against his word.

The secular world is presenting homosexuality as an alternate lifestyle. It has become acceptable in our modern society, yet; it is a distinct attack on human existence. When a person rebels against what is morally right, then what’s wrong, they’ll call right. The retribution of God from heaven is being revealed against the ungodliness and injustice of human beings who, in their mistreatment, hold back the Truth. What can be known about God is plain to them since God has made it simple. Even since the creation of the world, the mind understands created things. People have no excuse because we do have a will that enables us, along with our conscience, to choose and know what’s right naturally or unnaturally.

Society appears to condone homosexuality, but really, it’s only a few people who have spoken out for it. The more families don’t read the Bible and attend church, the less they understand what God says. Teachers, coaches, politicians, athletes, actors, military men, women, and medical professionals are affected by this unnatural sexual behavior. If everyone leads this lifestyle, our population will dwindle quickly, quickly, and in a hurry.

Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the Kingdom of God? Do not be misled; neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality, nor cheats (swindlers and thieves) nor drunkards nor extortionists and rubbers will have any share in the Kingdome of God.

Suppose any of these situations find you. There is a way out through the Blood of Jesus Christ.

If we confess with our mouths Jesus as Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised Him from the dead, we shall be saved.

For with the heart, man believes resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth, he confesses, resulting in salvation. Whoever believes in Jesus will not be disappointed. Christ Jesus is the same Lord of all people’s tongues and nations. It doesn’t matter if you are a man, woman, or child; Jesus’ arms are open for you. You have not done anything so wrong that he can’t forgive you for it. Everyone who calls upon the Name of the Lord will be saved. Therefore, if anyone is ingrafted in Christ the Messiah, he is a new creation or creature; the old previous moral and spiritual condition has passed away. Now you are new.

If you are a person who wants help or needs help, prays this prayer:

Father, I have sinned against you and heaven; forgive me for involving myself in homosexuality, and let the Blood of Jesus Christ your Son cleanse my soul, spirit, and body from the stronghold of unnatural affection. Father, I come home to You knowing and confessing that I cannot make it to heaven living in this manner. So wash me in Your Blood from the inside out and outside in. I ask You, Lord Jesus Christ, to be my Saviour, for I know You died on the cross for the sins of many, and I want to be counted in that number when the saints go marching home.

IN JESUS NAME AMEN

Steps to Abundance:

  1. One of the following best things to do is get into a Bible-based Christian Church.
  2. Read your Bible daily.
  3. Pray (communication with God) every day.
  4. Keep the faith that God did His part when you prayed the prayer.
  5. Always read the Bible for yourself and learn the scriptures.

Question: Are these the last days?

Answer: Today, there has been an attempt to twist and present half-truths to discredit God’s Word. The Scriptures we teach come from the doctrine of Christ.

The Word doctrine means something that is taught, a system of belief, a principle accepted as authoritative.

For instance, the doctrine of Christ is supported by the Life of Jesus Christ, who was born to a virgin Jewish woman named Mary. At the age of 30 years old, Jesus began his ministry of teaching and preaching for 3 ½ years. During this time period, there were many miracles, such as blind eyes open, deaf ears open, lame people walking, and the paralyzed receiving strength in their bodies. They crucified Jesus Christ on the cross, and when he was dead, God the Father raised Him from death. He was taken up in a cloud towards Heaven with the witness of the Apostles and two Angels standing by in white apparel. He showed himself living by proofs of the nail prints in His hands and a hole in His side where water and blood came out while he was nailed to the cross.

Jesus said; My doctrine or teaching is not my own. It comes from Him who sent me. If anyone chooses to do God’s will, he will determine whether my education comes from God or whether I speak of My own. John 7:16-18 (LSAB)

Most people believe there is a God. Jesus states that what I teach and do comes directly from God in Heaven. His Father in Heaven gave Him power which to operate in the earthly realm. This power comes through the Holy Spirit.

In 2 Timothy 4:3 For the time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine; but after their lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.

In other words, the time will come when men will not want to adhere to sound doctrine but to appease their desires; they’ll gather or put around themselves many teachers who will eagerly say what their ears want to hear.

In truth, there are not any gray areas. For instance, the DaVinci Code by Dan Brown is fiction. It makes up a story of Jesus being married to Mary Magdalene. In the canonized scriptures, one item of untruth isn’t found. The Bible states Mary Magdalene as the one whom Jesus cast out seven devils. Also, she was with Mary, the mother of James and Salome, who brought sweet spices to the tomb of Jesus very early in the morning so they could anoint Him.

In their distinctiveness, the scriptures have constant references in Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic. For years people have tried to discredit the revealed truth. Jesus said it this way, you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free. In its translation from the Dead Sea Scrolls, these scriptures are practical in daily living, yet God’s Holy Word is spiritual. There are gravitational laws called G Force. There are moral laws that govern our daily lives and spiritual laws.

For example, our spirit comprises communion with God, the wisdom of God, and the conscience of God.

There will be terrible times in the last few days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of God. Having a form of godliness but denying its power. Further, the scripture says have nothing to do with these types of individuals. 2 Timothy 3:16

These are the signs of the last days. Just look around and see the evidence; if you look around your house. You don’t have to look far to see the previous days approaching; they are already here.

Just pray and ask God to keep you from being deceived.

Our Father who dwells in Heaven, I ask you to keep me from being deceived in these last days. May I receive strength from Heaven to keep on the straight and narrow road while I’m here in this earthly realm, blessed forever by our Lord, who rules and reigns in the affairs of men? May the Lord Jesus Christ continue to watch over my loved ones with His loving kindness and me; Jesus can keep me from falling. Amen.

Question: I am struggling with desire and passion for homosexuality. I feel as if was to be a lady; I am afraid it is overpowering me, and I might fall into temptation; my conscience tells me it is not correct. Please help in any way you can.

Answer: The Holy Bible, the Word of God, clearly states that a man shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination before God.

Then there is any sin in your life, you must repent of each sin individually. They are professed to be wise, become fools, and exchange the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures. Therefore, God gave them over in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, that their bodies might be dishonored among them.

For they exchanged the truth of God for a lie and worshiped and served the creature rather than the creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason, God gave them over to degrading passions, for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural. In the same way, also the men abandoned the biological function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men and women committing indecent acts and receiving in their persons the due penalty of their error.

Just as they did not see fit to acknowledge God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind to do those things which are not proper (Romans 1:18-32)

Really you are dealing with a spiritual problem of unnatural affection. It’s a spirit that comes upon a man. It’s trying to lie to you as if to turn from the truth of the way God made you in your mother’s womb.

First: accept Jesus Christ as your personal Saviour.

Second: Repent of any sin individually – meaning confess it before God.

Third: Attend a Holy Spirit-filled church regularly.

Pray this prayer: Father, forgive me for all sins, things I’ve done wrong knowingly and unknowingly. Wash me in your blood from the inside out and the outside in. Lord, break every yoke of bondage in my life while setting me free from everything within me that’s not like you. Lord, set me free from the spirit of unnatural affection in Jesus’ Name. Cover me with your divine blood Jesus of protection. Amen.

Have faith in what you’ve just prayed to, and read the Bible daily. For we walk by faith and not by sight, all things are possible with God.

Question: I was wondering if you could answer some questions that I have about tithes. Why does the bible not mention the tithe of money? To whom is the tithe paid; the Church or the priest? What is the tithe to be used for according to scripture? How do we know which tithes and offerings we are supposed to keep (there were more than one)? What is the Hebrew translation of the word increase?

Answer: Money is not mentioned in giving to God in the Old Testament because people’s wealth, valuables, and income were measured in flocks and herds of sheep, goats, cattle, gold, and silver (Genesis 26:14; Genesis 4:4) (Genesis 14:2).

Money is modern terminology.

Actually, when people started giving to God, it was from their produce. You needed Something of value, which is a sacrifice or surrendering to God what He required.

The tithe is given to the priest because of his job within the place of worship. The priest didn’t have any source of income, whether herds or flocks or produce. His only career was to take care of the Temple of God, nor did the priest receive an inheritance among the people? Today people give a tithe, which is a tenth.

According to scripture (Malachi 3:10), the storehouse is the Church. The pastor, which can either be a Bishop, Apostle, Prophet, Evangelist, or Teacher, usually has only one job taking care of the church house. Today, some churches are so small that the pastor has to work full-time to make ends meet, not just for his household but also for the church’s upkeep. Most denominations give their pastor a salary. Offering usually weighs in excess in the tithe. Offering as a general collection more than often surpasses tithes. An offering is Holy unto God and, therefore, cannot be used by anyone personally. It’s only to be used for kingdom business or church functions. If you personally, for any reason, misappropriate funds of the Church, you are stealing from God Himself.

That’s why God stated in (Malachi 3:8) will a man rob God? God answers His question, with you have robbed me.

Indeed, the storehouse in Malachi represents the temple, building, or local Church. However, the Old Testament tithe or tenth cannot be reasonably equated with ten percent of gross salary or wages, which most people earn today because back then, at one point, produce was exchanged instead of hard currency.

Out of the tithes, the priest and Levites had maintenance for themselves and their families, but the people who defrauded the priest would not pay their tithes in full. The people brought not the offering God required but brought the lame and sick animals to the priests who were not fit for use.

The Hebrew word for an increase has several meanings.

  • Y bowl – produce, crop, harvest
  • Marbiyth – interest on money
  • Rabah – to increase
  • Ribbon – an indefinitely large number
  • Sarah – enlarge; be prosperous
  • Sheger – what comes forth?
  • Tbuwoh – income
  • Pleonazo – to increase, super bound

It’s a known fact that God’s word never changes.

Okay, this is in the Old Testament; I heard this before. What about New Testament? Are we still under the law?

In Hebrews Chapter 7:1, The scripture mentions Abraham giving a tenth part of all in the first portion of that verse to someone greater than himself. Actually, Melchizedek, King of Salem, priest of God.

In modern times God has established the Church through His Son Jesus Christ. So really, the word of God never changes regarding the spirit behind it.

Here we see in 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 the scripture states, “He who plants sparingly also harvest sparingly. Therefore, each person should give according to what they have decided in their heart, not grudgingly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. God has the power to provide you with every gracious gift in abundance so that you will always have all you need yourself and be able to provide abundantly for every good cause in God’s house (His established Church).

Question: What are Christians when they leave this world?

Answer: Hebrews 12:1 says, “ Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,”

Christians are our encouragers who struggle with everything we encounter. The great cloud of witnesses is our brothers and sisters in Christ who have gone before us into heaven. Knowing their faith through trouble should give us reason to hold on and hold out until our time is upon this earth as we know it. To be absent from this body is to be present with the Lord. Not only will we appear with Christ, but our good works will also be done in his company. The law and the Bible are total witnesses of the word of God.
