The counsel to you is, make sure you know the Word. If you do not know the Word for yourself, then most likely you are out of order and cannot help her when she also gets out of order and needs help. You are the head, the teacher, appointed by God. If you are remiss in your responsibility, the whole family and society suffer, and you become answerable to God. As for your children, you must know the Word in order to bring them up the right way. The Bible says you must teach them the Word when you sit down, when you rise up, and when you go to bed (Deuteronomy 6:6-7). It might sound like a lot to demand of you. But when you question God about it yourself, he responds that He has equipped us to carry out whatever He requires of us.
